How does multi-account work?

If you manage more than one property, it is very likely that you already have a multi-account.
Let's clarify together!

A group of facilities can be organized, for practical reasons, in a multi-account. A multi-account consists of a mother account  (or master account) and child IDs.

The Master account only acts as a container: you will need this to see all your rooms together on a single page.
The Master account has no rooms of its own and no connections, rooms and connections must always be created in the reference child account.

Let's take a practical example:

Let's imagine we have 3 properties united in a multi-account.

By clicking on the top left you can see the name of your Master account (1) and the list of all the structures (2)

To enter each single structure, just click on the name you find in the list (2) .

In the Master account you will still be able to see the calendar of all your rooms.

You will see the name in the room in bold (1) and the name of the structure to which it belongs in gray (2):

You can always see which structure you are in, the name of the structure and its ID code are shown at the top left (important in case of reports to our technical department!)

FAQ About multi-accounts:

- I would like to log in to Octorate and access my master account directly, how can I do this?

In this case you should create your login user in your Master account. Access your Master account and create your new user, log in with your new credentials and you will immediately be on your master account.

- How do I know if I need multi-account and how many child accounts I need to have?

This depends on multiple factors.

1. We must bear in mind that an Octorate account can only be linked to one Booking account ID: you will need to have as many Octorate child accounts as your Booking IDs.

2. In each Octorate child account it is possible to enter a single billing header: you will need to have as many Octorate child accounts as your company names.

- How can I create users who can only see some of the properties that are part of my multi-account?

You will be able to create a user from your Master account and you will be able to limit access only to certain structures from the Network section, directly in the detail of the user you are creating. Consult the dedicated article for more information!
