Do you have many types of rooms and want to update the prices in just a few clicks? this article may be for you 🧐
Let's take a practical example: In my property I have a double room, a triple room and a quadruple room, each one has its own calendar with its quantities and availability.
I decide to set a price rule between the various types of rooms and therefore set that in my property, my triple and quadruple rooms cost respectively 25 euros and 50 euros more than my double room.
How to set this rule?
In rooms > manage rates I double click on my triple room.
In the new window that opens, I set the "based on" rule and select the double room:
I set the price rule and deselect the availability from the derivation rules:
⚠️ATTENTION: This step is very important, do not save if you have not deselected the availability item❗
The rooms will appear in this way:
The dotted line indicates that the derivation rule is not set for availability but only for price and any other limitations such as minimum stay (M) and restrictions (R).
If you want to know more about what derivation rules are and how to set them, we suggest you read our dedicated article.
⚠️ ATTENTION: Price derivation rules will be applied on your calendar for the whole year. If your rooms do not always have the same price difference but this varies according to the period (ex: high or low season), we advise you to configure the price lists.
