First of all, make sure you set up correctly the number of Guests in the room's detail.

In order to create special rates for children, access the Booking Engine EVO > Children section,
then > Add Range
In the Children section on the upper-right side of the screen, slide on the bar to set up the age range you are about to create (in our example, from 4 to 6).
From the “Enabled” entry, you can potentially deactivate the setup, by keeping it anyway in the list.
Select the rates you wish to apply these calculations to, from the Rooms section on the right. You can either apply them to all the room types/rates or only to the selected ones.
The Children Rate section enables you to set up the cost for each child: it is applied once the guest specifies, while making a reservation on the Booking Engine, the presence of a kid within the age range you have created.
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: the last age of the range is not counted as a child. In our example the range is set "between 4 and 6 years", so the rate applies to children aged 4 and 5. A child who is 6 is counted as an adult and pays the adult rate. Always set one year more than the last age you want to treat as a child.
In the example, each child will pay 30 euros as a fixed value. In order to do so, it is necessary to set the percentage wheel to -100% concerning the price of a single adult, so that this value can be replaced by €30 *
On the right side of the screen, in the Example section, you will see a preview of the set-up rules:
the total cost of one night in the room with the maximum occupancy level: € 100
the cost of an adult in that room, for that one night: € 50
the cost of a child within the age range you have set (€50 - 100% + €30*): € 30

The values in the the Children Rate section can be set up both, positive, resulting as a supplement, and negative, as a discount then.
⚠️ Keep in mind that it will not be possible to apply the discount onto the derived rate.
In case you simply needed to add the value of a child as an Extra on the room total price, just type in the fixed value and set up the percentage wheel on a neutral position, meaning 0%.
The same applies in case you simply needed to add the value of a child as an Extra in percentage!
In that case, the fixed value case must be set to 0.
Do you wish a child aged between 4 and 6 to pay the 25% of the cost of a single adult?
Just set up the wheel on -25%
If you wish to set up a discount with a fixed value, just add a - before the value.
Of course, by setting the percentage wheel on a neutral position, meaning 0%.
You can potentially combine a discount in percentage with a fixed-value supplement. Try with all the possible combinations of your interest, and always check the example on the right side of the screen!
Do children pay exactly as adults do?
Just leave the percentage wheel on 0% and the fixed value at 0 as well.
These shortcuts enable you to set up the most used combinations in one click or anyway to guide you through the setup.
