Activate the Exact Children match in the Booking Engine results from the Booking Engine EVO > General settings section!
Starting example: you have configured a rate for 2 adults and 1 child.
When the "Exact Children Match in Booking Engine results" option is ACTIVE ✓
If a guest searches for exactly "2 adults + 1 child", they will only see rates that match this exact composition.
What this means for you: You must create a separate rate for every possible combination of adults and children you want to offer. To cover all customer searches, you will need to create create derived rates, specifying each time the exact number of beds for adults and children.
To create derived rates correctly, with the right number of guests, it will be necessary to limit the number of beds between adults and children.
When the "Exact Children Match in Booking Engine results" option is INACTIVE ✗
If a guest searches for "2 adults + 1 child", they will see:
The specific rate for 2 adults + 1 child
Also other compatible rates, such as the one for 3 adults
The system shows more flexible results, including rates with the same total number of people even if the adult/children composition is different.
For both of these options, if you expect the price for children to be different based on age ranges, you will need to configure price ranges.
