Change the main rate of your rooms!

You have an apartment or room that you sell from 2 to 4 people, you would like to manage your prices starting from the rate for 2 people but at the moment your main rate is the one for 4 people.

No problem, in this article we will explain how to reverse the derivation rule of your rooms.

In Rooms > manage rates I have my quadruple room configured like this:

However, for my convenience, I would like my starting rate to be the one for 2 people, so I need this rate to become the main one.

How do I reverse this derivation rule?

First of all, I will have to temporarily take off the derivation rule that exists between the 4-person rate and the 2-person rate. To do this, double-click on the derived rate (2 p)

In  "based on" I select  "do not derive"  and I save: 

 

The 2p rate, now disconnected, will appear on the right side of the page:

Now I can set the derivation rule again by double clicking on the rate for 4 people and in "based on" field I select the Quadruple 2p rate (1), if necessary I modify the parameters such as the Price difference (2) adjusting them to my needs, then I save:

Now my main rate for my quadruple room is for 2 people:
